121 Entertainment is pleased to announce that the grand final of Miss University London 2010 will take place at Movida, London’s most exclusive nightclub, on Tuesday 16th March 2010.
This years’ final, in association with OK! Magazine and in aid of Cancer Research UK, will see one contestant representing each of London’s 15 major universities competing for the ultimate crown. Selected following a series of preliminary events and on-campus auditioning, the contestants will go through extensive preparations in the weeks leading up to the event.
On the night, the girls will begin getting ready from 6pm with the 30 minute contest commencing on stage at 0030. The panel of judges, consisting of a former Miss Universe judge, last years Miss University London and a special guest will make their decisions based on the contestants’ attributes including their ability to project themselves, communicate and influence the audience that they have what it takes in talent and looks to be the winner.
The exclusive fashion sponsor of Miss University London, Aftershock London, will proudly award the winner and two runners up dresses from their latest collection. All contestants will also be dressed in the Aftershock dress of their choice on the night. Celebrity followers include Madonna, Helen Mirren, Charlotte Church and Katherine Jenkins to name but a few! Celebrity hairstylist Stuart Phillips; the man responsible for lacing Serena Williams hair with £1M of diamonds and also the official hairdresser to the BAFTA’s for three years, will be styling the contestants on the night. Natasha Daniels, a professional makeup artist specialising in editorial, commercial and advertising who has made over celebrities from Lily Cole to M.I.A is our official make-up artist on the evening.
Tickets for the event have all but sold out and momentum is spreading fervently across London. In response to this and the significant interest of regional and international media to last year’s event, we are inviting you to obtain exclusive photographs of the event and contestants and additionally, get first-hand interviews with organisers, participants and the winner on the evening. We can also offer follow-up interviews with each of the participants with their responses to what is sure to be a controversial event.
